Purposeful updating of a set of historical objects
Láníková, Petra ; Maar, Radek (referee) ; Boleslavská, Yvona (advisor)
The grounds of the Porta Coeli monastery have been revived since their return to the Cistercian order, in restitution in 1995. The monastery's management is gradually trying to repair and improve it. Due to the large area and the long time of neglect, this is a task for a long time. In my work, I am looking for other possibilities for using currently unused and often dilapidated buildings. The main entrance to the complex is through a passage in the new fort building. Most pedestrians flow through here and continue to walk through the linden alley. As part of the revitalization, I would like to propose in my project the use of this linden alley for the organization of markets - from farms with local food to Christmas. I am convinced that the stalls located in the alley, together with the lighting on the trees, would be able to create a magical Christmas atmosphere behind the scenes of a major monument and would certainly attract visitors from a great distance. In the project, I address the granary and sheepfold buildings in more detail. The former granary will provide new accommodation for 66 people and a beer spa, and the former sheepfold will be a multifunctional hall suitable for exhibitions, training, concerts and weddings. These buildings are located in the back of the area, and this location ensures privacy at events and at the same time should not be disturbed by tourists.

This diploma thesis deals with the design for the restoration of the former granary and sheepfold in the monastery complex of Porta Coeli, Předklášteří near the city of Tišnov. When conducting the architectural study, it was necessary to analyze and take into account the cultural-historical values of the monastery, its premises and its immediate surroundings, plus the structural-technical condition of the monastery complex and public functions in the vicinity. The basic idea underpinning the design was to create a place where people would gather and this bring life to the monastery grounds. Therefore the former sheepfold becomes s multifunctional hall where celebrations, weddings, corporate events can be staged in addition to municipal functions. In close proximity to the sheepfold there is the granary for which the design includes a puppet theatre and the upper floors to be used for hotel accommodation. These design features combine to create an environment that encourages people to frequent and use the monastery grounds Porta Coeli.

Malůšek, Jan ; Loutocká, Vlasta (referee) ; Urbášková, Hana (advisor)
ANNOTATION On the banks of the Střední Novomlýnská reservoir, in the cadastre of the municipality of Strachotín, the diploma thesis presents the overall design of a multifunctional complex, based on a sensitive connection between organic farming, well-breeding, and eco-tourism. The proposal shows the concept of farming in a "closed circle", with regard to the environment. The urban solution deals with the selected land with an area of 20 ha. The architectural part closely introduces the system of objects, creating a new landscape, perceived by both a human and bird's eye perspective. The layout solution analyzes in detail the functional arrangement of the farm, trying to meet all the requirements for efficient management while maintaining the organic regime and the coexistence of visitors and employees. The complex also offers a restaurant, multifunctional hall, conference rooms, classrooms, workshops, a gym, and exhibition areas. Accommodation is provided by a system of separate buildings, presenting the current possibilities of natural construction and environmentally friendly technologies to the guests, while maintaining the comfort of living. The farm is fully equipped for weddings or corporate events. The design and material solution use a maximum of natural materials in combination with current technologies. In addition to designing a viable multifunctional unit, the aim of the thesis is also to bring added value to the region, by holding annual cultural events and regular activities for children and seniors from the surrounding municipalities. At the same time, the work aims to create a sensitive counterpoint to current tourist destinations in the area.
Purpose update of a set of historical objects
Rozhkova, Ekaterina ; Kotek, Jakub (referee) ; Boleslavská, Yvona (advisor)
The major goal of masters thesis is purposeful updating of a set of historical objects while also incorporating a new architectural object. Porta Coeli is located in Předklášteří, Tišnov. Předklášteří is a settlement in the Brno-venkov district of the South Moravian Region. Porta Coeli monastery is a national cultural monument. The thesis focuses on new use of the granary and barn buildings in the Porta Coeli area. The granary is a historically significant Baroque structure from the 17th century. It is a big structure with four floors and a basement. It is currently unusable and in dangerous technical state. As part of the project, the granary building is designed primarily for short-term accommodation. The structure will mostly house guests in double rooms in terms of capacity. There will be 25 seats available in the restaurant. The building of the granary will be supplemented with new window openings, a highlighted entrance, with the insertion of an architectural innovation from the back. The barn, which will be turned into a multifunctional hall, is closely linked to the project. All of this adds up to a complex that is perfect for weddings, team-building activities, and other social gatherings. The building of the sheepfold will be connected by an outdoor space. It is designed as a multifunctional hall for organizing social events with facilities for weddings and meetings. Refreshments solved with the help of catering. The proposal also includes outdoor improvements that respond to the existing surrounding buildings and respect the context of the given location.

The theme of the thesis is to analyse the functional use of the whole area of the Cistercian monastery Porta Coeli in Předklášteří u Tišnova and to prepare a study based on it, which focuses on the conversion of unused buildings and the design of new functional use. The study also includes a proposal for an architectural redesign and the adaptation of the outdoor spaces in the area. The work focuses mainly on the former granary and the former sheepfold. The original buildings retain part of their external appearance but are supplemented with new window openings. A new use is proposed for the granary in the form of a hotel with accommodation and a restaurant. The sheepfold is converted into a multifunctional hall that will be used for various social events. In the vicinity of the two original buildings, a new facility is proposed to complement them. It will only contain sanitary facilities for visitors and spaces for performers. The work also includes the landscaping of the outdoor areas on the grounds. The overall aim of the work is to bring a new function to the site that can operate independently while respecting the historic and spiritual character of the monastic setting.

Prátová, Kateřina ; Žalmanová, Petra (referee) ; Boleslavská, Yvona (advisor)
The thesis focuses on a design of restoration of the Porta Coeli monastery complex in the municipality of Předklášteří, a unique and valuable place with a rich history and spiritual character. The current and historic purpose of the site is monastic life, which is now in decline and in danger of being completely lost. Large parts of the site, including historic buildings, are unused and unfortunately in a dilapidated state. The site offers visitors only limited opportunities such as a visit to the museum, guided tours or Sunday Mass in the church. However, the site has enormous recreational, rehabilitation and spiritual potential which the new design seeks to develop. Based on the existing condition and use analyses, the buildings and areas were selected for further development. Mainly a granary, a sheepfold, a coach house, the second quadrangle and an old laundry. Design of the granary and the sheepfold is developed in more detail. The construction program of the design respects the currently implemented and upcoming plans and intentions in the area. Targeted buildings have a diverse typology and functional content, which are thematically linked to create a coherent complex focused on wedding ceremonies, cultural activities and other social events.
